Popeye is an older monkey who has two sons, Sweet Pea and Olive(r)/Ollie. Sweet Pea is her youngest and takes up a lot of Popeyes time. She is an attentive and doting mother – almost to the point of being too doting. Popeye is one of the few mothers that tells Amari “no” when Amari tries to grab for Sweet Pea and gets away with it suffering no backlash from Amari. She spends most of her time with the males of the troop. She would originally hang around Donald often, but then when Brutus came into power she switched to spending most of her time near Brutus.

There has been a lot of confusion about the gender of Popeye’s juvenile. Since Jill, Amari’s daughter, is always seen hanging off of Popeye she was mistaken as her daughter. The gender of Popeye’s juvenile was discovered when a few individuals on Youtube went back to look at old videos of Popeye before Sweet Pea was born. They discovered that the juvenile that Popeye was nursing is male not female.

Defining Characteristics:

• Missing her Left Eye (Right if you are looking at her)
• Fairly Large in size
• Red Face and Red Butt
• Both of her ears are intact – they are a dark gray color
• Left Nipple is longer than her right
• Left Nipple is purple at the tip and pink around her areola
• Right Nipple is all pink and stubby
• Her eye is Brown
• She has White “C” shapes around her eyes
• Her left ear lobe is torn.
