June is a monkey that we don’t know a lot about. She has been in the background of many videos, but we don’t know her matriarchal line. June unfortunately, lost her baby in June 2017. Some videos show her preparing to give birth, but we don’t have 100% proof that she gave birth since we never saw a video of the stillborn infant. She looks to be pregnant at the moment, but she has always had a “round” look to her.

There is a theory that June might be Selly’s mother. When Vivi passed away June was in the tree with Selly as she was grieving. Now that Vivi is gone, you will see June around Selly grooming her and keeping her company. If June gives birth, it will be interesting to see if she treats the baby the same way Selly did with Vivi. As we know, monkeys who are abused by their mothers are more likely to abuse their infants as well.

Defining Characteristics:

• She has some skin folds toward the back of her body.
• She has a bald spot on her right arm (near her wrist).
• Her left nostril is larger than her right.
  • Because of this, you can see her nose curves toward the right.
• She has small purple/gray nipples. Her right nipple is pink at the tip.
