Jill is Amari’s juvenile daughter and has a younger brother, Jack. She is a sweet monkey that is very protective of the younger monkeys. When Jack was born she would huddle over him wherever he went and made sure he didn’t fall off rocks or get into trouble. Even though Jill takes an interest in the babies she has always been incredibly gentle. She has never handled an infant harshly like some of the other juveniles. If she sees a baby getting bullied or in distress she’ll run to their aid and comfort them. Jill is regularly seen cuddling up to other adult females. Surprisingly, she is rarely seen cuddling up to her mom, Amari. For a long time Jill was mistaken as being Popeye’s daughter because she is always with Popeye. She spends most of her time with Popeye and Sweet Pea.

Defining Characteristics:

  • Jill has a warm brown patch of fur on the top of her head that takes up most of the area.
  • She has small dark brown patches of fur on her cheeks.
  • She has white around her eyes.
  • She has dark gray ears.
  • She has light gray nipples that are barely visible through her fur.

  1. Jill’s fur is the lightest out of all of the different shades of fur coloring that they have, which is more of a golden tone than silver and both she and Olive have the same color of fur.

    • Ooh! That’s a good observation, thank you! I’ll add that onto her information. I’m hoping to do a comparison page of Olive(r)/Ollie and Jill so people can see if there are subtle differences between the two (besides gender).

    • who is Drew and Dana? are they both females and about Jills age?i am trying to distinguish who is who because I think often it is assumed to be Jill..Someone said drew was Merries daughter? so Dana is either Popeyes or Dollys or Timas? I also am pretty sure Tima is Merries mother and maybe Merrie and Dolly could be sisters?These unknown family ties are driving me nuts….

        It’s been speculated that Drew and Sasha are both offspring of Merry’s. I know that Drew and Joey are always together playing and are close to each other. Merry would spend a lot of time grooming Drew a few months back.

        I’ve been trying to piece together Dana and Sasha. Sasha was assumed to be Merry’s daugther. What throws me off is that both Dana and Sasha had their first babies this year, which would mean that Merry can’t have given birth to all of them. I have wondered if Merry has a sibling since all three (Dana, Sasha and Drew) look very similar to one another and seem to be in the same ranking as Merry.

        Popeye only has 2 sons (that we know of) Olive(r) and SP. So I’m not sure if she mothered any of the others. You rarely see her grooming other monkeys and when Olive(r) was around she was always grooming him. So I’d assume she probably would give the same treatment to a female offspring if they were still in the troop.

        Yeah, it’s really hard to find the inner families. Even researchers have a hard time figuring them out. Most of the time it’s dependent on behavior.

        Hm, I’m not sure if Merry and Dolly can be sisters since Dolly outranks Merry so much. I could see Tima being related to Merry since they are both low ranking.

  3. Now that Amari and Lori have left the troop ,does that make Jill the Alpha?Sasha is also missing.Hope it’s not Dolly.

  4. WOW glad I stumbled upon this. I began watching when Solita showed up and have been watching ever since. I literally “lose sleep” at night over my curiosity over the family tree of Amari Troupe. I’ve still never seen proof that Jill is Amari’s but viewers who saw footage Socchun had up before the SP BBlover channel swear she is. I think she could be but she looks nothing like Jace, Jack, or Lori. They all have those funky heads. Who knows though. She’s either Amari’s or Maria’s. Which means Maria is probably Amari’s.. and I’ve seen her from certain angles making certain faces where she looks identical to Amari so I figure Maria is hers and Jill is either Maria’s look-alike younger sis or her daughter. I was thinking Jace was the same age as Jill & Olive though? I thought he was just before Jack. I’m really starting to wonder more and more if Dana is Popeye’s. Sweet Pea has been literally on her tits since Polino was born and they almost look like twins. However.. Donny looks JUST like Joey.. who both look like Marcus’ offspring imo… which could be the connection but who knows?!? I just don’t think Merry could be the mom of ALL of them.. they’re all too close in age… but.. then again.. they could just be back to back. She does take good care of her babies. I think Drew had WAY too much estrogen or still does. I ALWAYS mistake him for female until I actually see his winky… he even has boobs. He and Joey look alot alike and are favoring each other more each day. They’re def both hers.. Sasha looked like she could be Drew’s twin…so she would more than likely be hers too. Now DANA …. that leaves Dana kinda out of the mix as far as being Merry’s because of the age thing. I remember reading a user comment when she and Jill had their 1st babies that said she was a year older than Sasha and went into estrus late.. not sure if that was true but someone posted it and I remembered. If she’s NOT Merry’s… my money is on Popeye 100% for Dana. You sure can’t tell by the way they act toward one another who belongs to who. Lucy is DEFINITELY Popeye’s mother no question… Sweet Pea even has her face. They all ignore her and her pouch full of marbles (who else was shocked and relieved it wasn’t a tumor?). You never see Popeye pay her any mind at all. Merry may be the only one really that carries her open show of motherly love into adolescence and onto adulthood. (Teresa is another but not in this group) I would love to join other fans and do a fundraiser to have someone go collect samples and test all of Amari Troupe. Even the big males.. it’d be interesting to see if any of them are related to any of the females. I think Marcus is dad to 1/3 to half of the troupe including Dee Dee, Joey, & Donny. Sweetie was DEF Felix’s hands down.. they had the SAME face. I highly suspect Donkey is Polino’s dad. He has that silly stoner look to him like Donkey does. I’m obviously obsessed with this. Glad I’m not the only one who is interested though lol. I’m also VERY curious as to their ages. Popeye is well over 10 years… and I know this from seeing random tourist footage from 10 to 12 years ago that has a quick shot of PE in it and she’s already grown and already missing her eye. I have NO CLUE how to guess on their ages aside from the youngsters. I know they’re known to live to around 30 years but who knows. I bet Lucy has seen some stuff in her day. Wonder how many babies the older ones like her usually have in their lifetimes? I wish I could interview them lol. I think they’re so interesting and SO MUCH like humans on so many levels. Even down to their jealousy and unhealthy relationships. My husband and his mother remind me SO MUCH of Popeye & Sweet Pea.. it’s crazy lol. I really wish I could see some of the older videos that showed more on who the older babies belong to. It’s not that I don’t trust the people who are telling me one thing…I just need to confirm it for it to make sense to me. Plus you never know if you’re talking to a long-time viewer or a troll. (sorry for the novel.. my adderall kicked in and I got really excited and hyperfocused when I found this lol)
