How to Help

I’m currently looking for help gathering the following information:

  • High Definition (HD) photos of specific monkeys
    • I will usually full screen the video and take a screenshot. Click here to learn how to take a screen shot.
    • If providing photos, please remember to list who you got it from. I won’t use an image without a source.
      • Example: On the page for Popeye I have three photos. If you hover over them or click on them you will see that there are captions on the photos. I put “Photo By SP BBlover”.
  • Bulleted identifying features (missing an eye, a finger sticks up, split lip, etc.)
  • Lineage Information (who is their Mom/Grandma)
  • Birthdays of Baby Monkeys
  • Deaths of Baby Monkeys
  • What group a specific Monkey belongs to
  • Names of Monkeys not already listed
  • If reporting a new Baby Monkey, please include Gender, Birthdate and Troop
  • Writing small introduction paragraphs for Monkeys

If any one of these things sounds exciting and fun for you, please contact me. I’d love to have you help me build this website!

  1. this is an awesome website! i love these monkeys!

ive been watching the group interactions and i noticed that popeye is always around amari. do you think popeye could be the second ranking monkey or maybe amaris daughter?

    • Hm, that’s an interesting question.

I don’t think Amari and Popeye are related. If I was to choose a second in command it would have to be Dolly. She’s higher ranking than Popeye. Popeye loves babies and since her infants are born around the end of March she’ll shadow Amari. She did the same thing last year when Jack was born. Before SP was around Amari and Popeye used to be close and always together.

I have noticed that since Amari has lost a lot of weight she’s not as involved in the troop as she used to be. 😦

    • Hello!

I’m not one of the videographers so I don’t name the videos. I’m just a person who liked the monkeys and started a website for them. There are definitely a lot of babies now. I’ll be updating the list with pictures of them to see if it’ll help tell them apart. 🙂

  3. What Do you think of creating a business where you could sell the images of the macaques when they are one year old in the shape of stuff animals with their own name, hipo-allergic as well to tourists and on line. This endeavour would help to feed the macaques and to clean the park or even to have a doctor on site, the money earn could even help the workers.
